NOAHH purchased 8.1 acres of land from the New Orleans School Board, the former site of Kohn Junior High School, which will be transformed into the core site Musicians’ Village. It will ultimately become 72 single family homes, 5-elder friendly doubles, a toddler-friendly pocket park, and the Ellis Marsalis Center for Music.
As of September 2007, all 72 homes have either been completed or are under construction with the help of thousands of volunteers digging foundations and laying block work
